All Men Are Pigs now released! - Also released, an apology.
Hello everybody,
First of all, I would like to say that I am incredibly sorry for not updating over the past two years.
The truth is, I could not even go online and give more updates on the game without having an anxiety attack. Even now, as I'm typing this, with a fully completed game to back up my claims, I am having heart palpitations.
Things got really rough in my personal life, I will not go into details as it is a sensitive and personal matter, and on the other side of the pond there were also big technical issues with delivering the rest of the artwork.
But, despite the radio silence, we never stopped working on the game.
We even commissioned more artists to help finish the art (@roasif and @soupyeel, shoutout to you guys, I hope associating with this game, even as simple commissions, will not tank your career), and in the end Fran was also able to finish all the remaining artwork himself and also add a lot of stuff that wasn't initially planned.
We also learned our lesson regarding how much time a game actually needs to be worked on thoroughly when there are just 2 developers, and trust me, if we ever make another game we will be much more economical on how many backgrounds, CGs, characters we use on a game, I think I went a little overboard on the scope here because it was my first game ever and I didn't want to hold back in anything.
We also learned that we are no good with deadlines, so any future games will not even be announced until they are basically almost finished.
I don't expect any people who haven't already paid for the game on Kickstarter to go and buy the game right now( but if you do you have a pleasant surprise ahead for you), we will come back later with more promotional material to properly announce the release of the game.
So far, I have only uploaded the finished game on our itch.io page so I can send it to all the Kickstarter backers, which I have done since last night, so, if you backed the game on Kickstarter and paid 15 USD or more you should already have an email regarding that, please let me know if you were able to download the game properly or if I should try again.
For those that also are entitled to the game walkthrough as a reward, it is ready and will be sent with email or message because I don't think I can upload it on itch.io to send it over to you guys without making it purchasable on itch.io too.
For the sexy album and digital card rewards, they will come later, as will the Android version of the game (so far only PC and Mac are ready).
The Kickstarter backers who had their likeness in the game as a reward or even a small or big talking role in the game, just play the game :) If you want to know in exactly which route you will find your character hit me up in a message and I will let you know :)
Again, I am sorry that I let you believe the game was a scam all along, we worked too much and too hard on this to let it be a quick cash-grab, please be kind in the comments, but if you wanna roast me instead it's totally understandable.
I hope you enjoy the game as much as I loved making it.
EDIT: Apparently, I'm an idiot, I haven't sent the email yet but I'm waiting for itch.io to approve it.
In the meanwhile, if you pledged 15 USD or more in Kickstarter, hit the below link and make an itch.io account (or login to your existing account) with the same email you used to pledge in Kickstarter and you should have the game automatically, and I will also send the individual emails.

Wait so when itch.io says I Purchased the Game does that mean I own the game or just the demo? Cause back then I "Bought" the game on Itch.io for .50...but that's not 15.00
The full game was released in June 2023 and costs 25 USD, it looks like you donated 50 cents when you downloaded the demo (which is optional, because the demo is free).
So I bought the demo? Do I still need to buy the full game? I love the game just wanna know if I need to still is all. From my Itch.io page it has the game under "Owned" games plus, there's a link that doesn't seem to be the demo link. Also note I "Bought" the game for .50 on 2019-10-10 at 09:31:42. When I go to the page it says I can just download it. I don't go to the demo links, it's at the top of the page. I donated the .50 back then to help back the game. I'm disabled so I can't donate much at all but I try to help when I can.
The full game was uploaded on June 2023 so if your itch.io library shows AMAP as "Owned" they probably mean the demo and the files that were already available for free before that date.
We will soon put out a new discount/offer for the full game so you can wait it out a bit ;)
As the other comments/reviews below can attest the full game is very long and is worth the price :)
Why not sell the walkthrough?
Congrats for getting it done!!! Can't wait to play. You should be exceptionally proud for finishing a project like this. (And if it doesn't feel like it right now, thats okay too. Pride may take some time to manifest. =)) And please don't listen to the haters. What does it matter, that you had some difficulties and release took a while longer? So we, the players, have it now to enjoy. Yey! Big picture and all that. =) Sending lots of love and good feelings.
Will the game be on Steam?
We will try to put it on Steam later on (and if we manage it we will of course share a steam key with the people who already have it on itch) but chances are that Steam will delete it, they are pretty erratic with how they treat XXX games.
Congrats for finally completing and releasing the game. So sorry for your anxiety attacks. I hope things are looking good from here and out. I will definitely give this a game a try. I'm curious how it goes
Take it easy with your future projects and wish you the best of luck~
thank you very much!
Things are still rough but I have hopes they will get better soon!
I hope you have a blast playing the game <3
Hey. I'm ChellayTiger. I've been making erotic gay visual novels since 2021. I heard about your game around that time and it looked interesting and I was looking forward to it. Time passed, and the radio silence made me think it was a scam like many others, which disappointed me. Now that I know more about the situation, I have a few things I want to say.
First, I'm glad the game is now completed and out. I wouldn't say I'm ecstatic because well the art isn't to my liking and Deniz is the only one I'm kind of attracted to, but that's beside the point. I wanted more gay dating sims that featured more than just pretty boys and young adult characters, so I'm glad that this game is released. I do love the interface and I think the story could head into interesting places, so here's hoping it was worth the wait. Definitely one of the more ambitious games for better or for worse. I know how hard it is to make such a large visual novel having made one and working on a couple more.
I do feel sorry for your unfortunate circumstances and hindsight does make things a bit more obvious. However, I do think you should have at least communicated what was going on. Anxiety is a bitch to deal with, but I think working on dealing with it would be important to deal with as you had something really important to do, which was updating your audience.
I also think you should have planned the project better. Overscoping and poor project management are things you really should avoid in the future and at the very least, you guys have learned that much. There was nothing wrong with cutting down the scope in order to get out a product faster, sometimes it's necessary and the fans are accepting of that.
Ultimately, I'm glad you guys completed the project and that you learned how to amend your mistakes next time. As long as you communicate with your fans, they will be understanding. I would know making erotic gay VNs for over a year. Hope things look bright for your future!
He could have even just asked one of his collaboraters, friends, or family members to write some message for him and send it on his behalf.
I sometimes ask family members to make calls on my behalf when I'm having trouble, even if it's just a brief message to get a minimum point across.
Hell, just have some drinks and take some sedatives and bash out a message and send it then. I've done that, too. 😅
"I don't expect any people who haven't already paid for the game on Kickstarter to go and buy the game right now"
Funny, cause as soon as I saw the announcement that it was released, I bought it.
I've followed many games over the years, and often the first game turns out to be too ambitious and the devs have trouble with their original release date. Kudos for sticking with it, despite everything. Hope things have improved in your life, and thanks for releasing the game when it was finished. Can't wait to play it.
Well done for over coming the anxiety. Its not easy to do congrats on the updated release. I will be back once I get a bit of extra cash :) Daniel
Did he really overcome his anxiety if he waited until the game was finished, and it was easier to send a message, because he could coat the turd sandwich with a dusting of sugar?
I personally know all about avoiding communicating because of anxiety, but this really sounds like a poor excuse for his backers.
People shouldn't be too forgiving, because it encourages others to avoid important things because they can just blame 'anxiety'.
I appreciate what you're saying. As a sufferer myself I can find it so debilitating. I too am working on a visual novel game and sometimes I find it hard to be happy with a result and worry people are going to dislike it so I continue trying to make it better meaning it takes a lot longer.
I will take what you've said and try to ensure friend who support your work should be frequently kept up to date :)
